MOLLY A. SIGMAN
Molly A. Sigman holds two nationally recognized Pilates certifications from Stott Pilates and Physical Mind Institute. Ms. Sigman graduated on scholarship from the School of Toronto Dance Theatre where she was first introduced to yoga and Pilates as a part of the Professional Dance Training Program. It was there that she began teaching adult dance classes and children ages three to teens. She continued the study of dance in New York City under senior master teacher Pearl Lang and was honored to dance in the Martha Graham Dance Company’s New York season. In New York she also became certified in Yogilates from Jonathan Urla, and continued to deeper her yoga practice at Jivamukti Yoga Center,as well as with Duncan Wong and ashtanga with Evan Perry. Recently she received a scholarship to attend the San Diego Dance Theater summer workshop and became a member of the Colette Harding Dance Company.
MARIANNE SEARE
Marianne Seare, a native of Salt Lake City, Utah has been teaching for ten years. In 1993, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Modern Dance, a minor in Health Education and a Secondary Teaching Certificate from the University of Utah. From 1994-2000, she directed dance programs in two Utah schools. During this time, she produced yearly dance concerts, created original choreography for the school musicals and taught various levels of dance technique, conditioning, composition and performance.
In July 2000, Marianne and her husband relocated to San Diego. She received her Pilates training with Cathie Murakami in Encinitas, and received her official Pilates certification with the PhysicalMind Institute. During the past three years, Marianne has helped establish the Pilates program at Elite Fitness Spas.
Marianne has also completed certifications in Group Fitness with AFAA and in BOSU Integrated Balance Training. Although Dance and Pilates are her passions, she loves the opportunities to learn and teach new disciplines and classes. Marianne believes that integrating Pilates into one’s life will lead to a complete body, mind and spirit.
However, her greatest accomplishment and joy was giving birth to her little girl, Zoe Michelle.
